The Start Here Page
We get it, at the start it's all gobbledigook. Let's take it step by step.
First - the why
Of course you want to manage your money better, perhaps make some profits. But here's a few things that come before that:
- Purify your intention. Our wealth, if invested and spent with ethics and impact in mind, literally can create a better world. So let's do it for that.
- Our wealth is a trust given to us to look after by Allah for our lifetime. Let's leave our portion of the ummah's wealth in a better shape than we found it.
That's the spiritual "why", but there's also the practical "why". Make sure you think about the following:
- How much are you looking to invest?
- What do you plan to do with your money? When do you plan to do that?
- What is your attitude to risk? How much of your money can you afford to lose?

Next, how we can help you
Who are you guys anyway?
IFG was started by Ibrahim and Mohsin back in 2015 as a humble blog alongside our corporate careers.
We ran it as a community service for 4 years. We're in that odd (and geeky) group of people who get very passionate and happy about researching and writing about investments and personal finance. We still got married though, so no long-term harm done 😅.
Ibrahim finished off his alim course in 2018 and we both qualified as solicitors in 2019 and decided to see if we could make IFG more sustainable.
Alhamdulilah the whole thing snowballed, and this is what we were always really passionate about. In late 2019 we quit our corporate careers, convinced our wives that working on a startup was a great move and dove in.
Our mission is the same it has been from the start. We want to help the Muslim community across the world get back to a level financial playing field. We've alhamdulilah come a fair way:
- Over 100k visitors a month with a social reach over 4m
- 3000+ Islamic wills drafted and partnering with charities like Islamic Relief, Muslim Hands, Muslim Aid, NZF and many others
- Over £10m invested via our investment arm - Cur8 Capital
- Running prominent political campaigns to implement halal student loans and halal pensions.
- Being recognised in the Forbes 30 under 30 List
